SAKANEYA Sekihan Sticky Red Rice with Izumo Dainagon Adzuki Beans
Choose options
SAKANEYA Sekihan is a traditional Japanese sticky red rice dish made with glutinous rice from Shimane Prefecture and rare Izumo Dainagon adzuki beans. Sekihan has long been enjoyed in Japan for celebrations and special occasions, with the adzuki beans giving the glutinous rice its characteristic colour and delicate bean flavour.
This ready-to-eat version can be prepared in just a few minutes using a microwave or hot water. It is finished with seaweed salt made from Izumo seawater and locally sourced arame seaweed, complementing the naturally chewy rice and hearty Dainagon beans. With a shelf life of approximately one year at room temperature, it is also convenient for pantry storage and emergency food supplies.
